Brand Safety Guidelines

Velawcity protects their clientele by only working with the most trusted advertising partners. Every partner in our Legal Advertising network is subject to following our Brand Safety Guidelines. The following guidelines are outlined in our official Network Services Agreement. However, we have provided some examples below to provide clarity on our Brand Safety Guidelines.
  1. Creative Content. Receiving Party’s obligations under this Agreement extend to reporting the marketing website URL back to the Disclosing Party. Receiving Party is restricted from displaying the following content:
    1. Sexually explicit imagery.
    2. Provocative imagery of potential victims i.e. people holding money.
    3. Imagery of children at the age of 13 and under.
    4. Illegal products or services.
    5. Discriminatory practices.
    6. Tobacco products.
    7. Drugs & drug-related products.
    8. Unsafe supplements.
    9. Weapons, ammunition or explosives.
    10. Adult products or services.
    11. Adult content.
    12. Third-party infringement.
    13. Misinformation.
    14. Spyware or malware.
    15. Stating claimant will remain anonymous.
    16. Listing of deadlines or dates unless approved by Velawcity.
    17. Guarantees.
    18. Compensation numbers unless citations of a verdict are present.
  2. Social Media Advertising. Receiving Party’s obligations under this Agreement extend to reporting information back to the Disclosing Party that will include the following:
    1. Facebook advertisers must send the Facebook page name, Facebook Post Content, Facebook advertisement headlines, Facebook advertisement descriptions and Facebook advertisement imagery.
    2. Twitter advertisers must send the Twitter handle name, Tweeted content, Twitter advertisement headlines and Twitter advertisement imagery.
    3. LinkedIn advertisers must send the LinkedIn page name, LinkedIn post content, LinkedIn advertisement headlines and LinkedIn advertisement imagery.
  3. Search Engine Advertising. Receiving Party’s obligations under this Agreement extend to reporting information back to the Disclosing Party that will include the following:
    1. Google advertisers must send the Google advertisement headlines, Google advertisement descriptions and Google advertisement URL path and Google advertisement ad extensions.
    2. Microsoft advertisers must send the Microsoft advertisement headlines, Microsoft advertisement descriptions and Microsoft advertisement URL path and Microsoft advertisement ad extensions.
  4. Display Advertising. Receiving Party’s obligations under this Agreement extend to reporting information back to the Disclosing Party that will include the following:
    1. I. Display advertisers must send the Display headlines, Display Descriptions, Display business name and Display images or videos.
  5. Native Advertising. Receiving Party’ s obligation s under this Agreement extend to reporting information back to the Disclosing Party that will include the following:
    1. Native advertisers must send the headlines, call to actions and images or videos.
  6. Use of Brand. The Velawcity brand name and logo are the exclusive property of Velawcity. The use of the Velawcity brand name and logo for consumer-facing advertisements is strictly prohibited. Any advertising partners wishing to use a brand for promotional purposes must obtain express written permission to do so. The consumer-facing brand that can be used with permission is Tortx. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in legal action taken against the responsible party. By using our brand on advertisements, you agree to adhere to these brand safety guidelines. Velawcity is NOT a Law firm. 

Advertising Examples (With Imagery)

Good Example

Velawcity permits the use of conservative and empowering images to use in marketing campaigns. 

Bad Example
Velawcity does not permit the use of provocative images with potential victims holding money as if they already won their settlement.
Good Example

Velawcity permits the use of images using adults as models.

Bad Example

Velawcity does not permit the use of images where models are at the age of 13 and under.

Good Example

Velawcity permits the use of images that are not sexually explicit. Instead of using explicit imagery, use safe situational imagery to express the message behind your campaign.

Bad Example

Velawcity does not permit the use of images that are sexually explicit. In addition, images promoting adult content, products or services are not permitted.

Good Example

Velawcity permits the use of safe imagery that relays the message of your marketing campaign. Instead of displaying illegal products, use imagery to describe the state of the potential lead. 

Bad Example

Velawcity does not permit the use of displaying imagery containing tobacco, illegal products or services, drugs & drug-related products and unsafe supplements.

Good Example
Velawcity permits the use of patriotic imagery that safely relays the message of your marketing campaign.
Bad Example

Velawcity does not permit the use of provocative images with weapons, ammunition and explosives.

Good Example

Velawcity permits the use of imagery that is not discriminatory in nature. Use imagery that promotes an ethical and inviting campaign. 

Bad Example

Velawcity does not permit the use of discriminatory imagery. The photos used in a marketing campaign should not focus on divisiveness. 

Good Example

Velawcity permits the use of imagery that does not infringe upon intellectual property. 

Bad Example

Velawcity does not permit third-party infringement in marketing campaigns. Velawcity will never make any exceptions to this.

Velawcity does not permit the use of imagery that spreads misinformation. Stay honest with your campaigns.

Velawcity will never permit the use malware or spyware. We will always promote safe and user-friendly web development. Our team will always run audits on new advertising partners.

Velawcity will never permit the use malware or spyware. Any attempt to expose website traffic will lead to expulsion from our advertising network.

Velawcity prefers transparency and so do the victims we are trying to help. Please be honest with your advertising practices.

Velawcity will never permit the use of any images or text stating that the potential claimant will remain anonymous.

Good Example

Velawcity prefers imagery and text that encourages potential claimants to act now rather than displaying a specific deadline. 

Bad Example

Velawcity prefers imagery and text that does not have a specified deadline. However, Velawcity might grant clearance on deadlines for specific claims.

State Laws

By placing an advertisement that targets a national audience, you agree that you are responsible for complying with all applicable state laws regulating advertising. It is your responsibility to research and understand state laws that may apply to your advertising. You are liable for non-compliant state advertisements.
